Go2Lofoten · Svolvær
Go2Lofoten takes up to ten paddlers out from Svolvær for two hours on calm water between bays and small islands, with a lesson first. It's the cheapest way onto the water in Lofoten, and short enough to fit around a boat trip or a drive the same day.

You meet at Go2Lofoten's office on Sjømannsgata 30 minutes before the start, get your kayak, paddle, spray cover and life vest, and learn the basic sea-kayak stroke before launching. The route is decided on the day. Go2Lofoten's own page describes bays, small islands and a pass through Svolvær's old harbour, past rorbuer and fish-handling buildings.
The water is mostly calm and sheltered, which suits first-timers. You get views of the mountains and beaches, stories about Viking sites, and a chance of sea eagles, though wildlife is never promised. The operator says it uses mostly double kayaks, with singles for experienced paddlers at the guide's discretion.
It's Svolvær, not Reine. If you want the famous peaks from the water, the Reinefjord kayak tour starts in Hamnøy, two hours south. This one is for people staying at the northern end who want a cheap, short and easy first paddle.
Register at the Go2Lofoten office and get your kayak, paddle, spray cover and life vest.
